Discover the Path Forward
At Restoring the Signal, we explore regeneration in both practical and profound ways. Our mission is to inspire a collective understanding of living systems.

Our Purpose in Action
Restoring the Signal is dedicated to uniting diverse aspects of regeneration through insightful essays, engaging podcasts, and transformative books. We aim to connect living systems science with genuine healing in all spheres of life, including the body, the land, relationships, and cultural dimensions. Our commitment is to make regeneration accessible and actionable, fostering spiritual and physical well-being. Each offering aims to contribute to a well-rounded perspective on thriving in today's world, ensuring every voice is heard and the knowledge is shared.
Meet the Author
Arlette O’Rourke is a speaker, writer, and researcher working at the intersection of soil, food, and systems change. Her work asks how bodies, farms, and societies lose coherence under pressure, and how they can regain it through better feedback, relationship, and design.
She holds a BA in Regenerative Systems and Human Ecology from Maharishi International University and is pursuing a PhD in Organic Agriculture, with a focus on integrated aquaculture and vegetable (iAVs) greenhouse systems, agroforestry, and resilient farm design.
Arlette began her career in food, spending 26 years in professional kitchens and hospitality and founding Indigenius Cuisine, a farm to table catering company. That foundation now anchors her work at Elysian Fields Park, her regenerative farm and the home of the Elysian Fields Park Regenerative Research Institute, where she is building a working demonstration site that links water, soil, trees, animals, and people into closed loop systems that become stronger under stress.
She is also the founder and green cemetery operator of Sacred Grove Preserve, a conservation burial ground that treats deathcare as land restoration, and the founder of Land Restoration Solutions, a regenerative land trust framework that uses green burial, afforestation, and agroforestry to fund and protect long term ecological repair.
Across her writing and talks, Arlette returns to a simple question: what would it mean to design our farms, economies, and rituals so they behave more like healthy forests than failing machines?
